Announcement of the Live Streaming of the Hōonkō Services
We will live stream this year’s Hōonkō services as well as the Abbot Succession Ceremony on November
20 (JST). Additionally, the Dharma lectures in honor of Shinran Shōnin will be presented from November
26 through 28 (JST). All of the live streaming can be accessed on our YouTube channel. Please join us
for those events on the internet.
The live streaming is subject to change due to the situation of COVID-19. All changes will be announced

The Daytime (Nicchū) and Afternoon (Taiya) services to be held on the 21st through the 28th will be live
streamed on our YouTube channel (14 services in total). Please note that there will be only an Afternoon
service on 21st and a Daytime service on 28th. There will be no live streaming of Morning services
(Jinjō).

Hōonkō: Reading of the Biography of Shinran (Godenshō)
On November 25 every year, the Biography of Shinran (Godenshō), which consists of two volumes, is
read in the traditional and ceremonial way. This year, the first and second volumes are read on the 24th
and 25th separately. Both readings will be live streamed.

Dharma Lectures in Honor of Shinran Shōnin

This series of Dharma lectures is presented for us to learn the teaching of the nenbutsu together as
clarified by our spiritual forebear Shinran Shōnin in his memory.
